Congratulations on dipping into the world of cosmetic tattoos! Lip blushing is one of my absolute favorite services both on receiving and offering. Lip Blushing offers a way to enhance your natural lips with customized colors that compliment your skin and allow for a little fun. In most cases the lips can extend nearly 2mm outside the natural lip line, this allows us to create fuller lips without the need for fillers. It's a fantastic choice if you want a natural looking way to enhance your lovely lips.
How to Prepare for Your Lip Blush Appointment
2 Weeks Before Your Appointment
Start by exfoliating and moisturizing your lips and stay hydrated. I like to use a sugar scrub a few times a week followed by a hydrating ointment or lip oil. I recommend using Avocado Lip Oil by Sorella Apothecary. I have some available in the spa room if you'd like to pick some up before your appointment just let me know. Drinking 75 oz of water a day leading up to your appointment will help keep you and your lips ready for treatment.
Complete your consent form and reach out with any questions you might have.
* This is so important to note * If you have ever in your entire life had a cold sore or experienced shingles the lip blushing tattoo will cause a reaction. You must call your Dr. to schedule an appointment for Valtrex in order to prevent uneven healed results. Plan on starting the medicine 1 week before your appointment and continue it for another week after your appointment.
Start thinking about your favorite lip colors and browse examples of looks you love for yourself. The healed result of lip blushing is 50% lighter than day of service.

Lip Blush Aftercare
After Treatment
Lips can be swollen for 48 hours after appointment; the color will be 50% darker from what the healed results will be, and you may feel sore for a few days. Be patient with your body and artist as your body heals. This service has a journey before settling into the beautiful end results people can't get enough of. A touch up session will take place 30 days after the initial appointment to perfect shape and color saturation. Be gentle with your lips and apply provided ointment every 3 hours as needed for the following 2 weeks.
Try to avoid:
- Eating spicy foods
- Drinking hot fluids
- Rubbing/touching or wearing makeup for 1 week
- Excessive sweating for 3 days
- Tanning for 1 week
- Picking at scabs that may appear during the healing process
Most importantly, enjoy your beautiful lips! Results can last up to 3 years.
